Homemade Hot Chocolate

Wow! You haven't lived until you've had this homemade hot chocolate! Thanks to BH&G holiday publications!

Hot Chocolate

1/3 C semisweet chocolate morsels

1/3 C sugar

4 C milk

4 small candy canes (optional)

mini marshmallows (optional)

1. In a medium saucepan combine chocolate, sugar, and 1/2 C of the milk. Bring to just a boil stirring often. Add the rest of the milk and continue heating until hot.

2. Pour into mugs. Top with marshmallows. If you like, drop a candy cane in each cup, hang one over the edge for garnish; or if you like more peppermint flavor, add the candy canes in with the sugar in step one. Serve steaming hot.

Makes 4 servings.
