Every October, my kids' school hosts a race to promote active lifestyles for the kids. K-2 run 1/2 mile, grades 3-5 run one mile. At the finish line they receive a shiny new pumpkin to carve and a goodie bag as an incentive to finish the race. They did awsome! I'm so proud of them. Enjoy some pictures.
BTW, there is a delay in my iPhone camera. Translation: Mom couldn't get it together right away and since Rachel's race was first, most of the pictures of her were of her ankles. Ah, well...I did get one good picture of her.

A Little "Garten" Visiter
Look what the kids found! They tried to scare me with this little
garter snake...until I asked if I could hold it. "But you're a girl!"
my son told me. That's my hand in the picture. I have to admit that
I got a little creeped out when I felt it slithering in my hand...but
I didn't let my sons know that.
